31 Days Left in 2025: God Is Able to Do the Impossible

Today I went to church, and the sermon focused on Matthew 14:15-20.

I think it’s interesting that the disciples wanted the people to go home, even though they had already seen Jesus make fish appear from the sea right in front of them. Jesus told them to bring the fish and bread to Him.

We have 31 days left in 2025. This is usually the time when we:

  • Feel peak depression

  • Feel inadequate

  • Feel that time has passed us by

  • Throw in the towel

  • Say, “Let’s try again next year”

  • Compare our lives to others

  • Think that God has forgotten about us

  • Take matters into our own hands

  • Feel less accomplished

  • Overcount our shortcomings

  • Undercount our blessings

The list could go on. But can I remind you that God is able?

Ephesians 3:20 says "Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."

Can you read that again? God is able to do more than we can even think or imagine. I also love the second part of Isaiah 60:22. It says "I am the Lord. In its time, I will do it swiftly."

Can I invite you to believe?

Believe that the Lord:

  • Will give you the job that is made for you

  • Will save your loved ones

  • Will provide for you

  • Will heal your diseases

  • Will help you close on the house this year

  • Will help your business take off

  • Will help you meet your husband this year.

I believe this with all of my heart. The Lord will indeed do it for me. Will you believe that He will do it for you too?

Did I miss something that you were believing in for this year? Add it to the list. The Word of God says "I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27.

There is nothing impossible for our God. Dare to believe that He can and will. With 31 days left in 2025, God is able to do the impossible. As we wait for the promise, I invite you to praise Him in advance. Two of my favorite psalms of praise are Psalm 145 and 150.

My prayer for you today is that the Lord will open His hands and satisfy the desires of your heart according to his will (Psalm 145:16).

This is so true! Also, we need to stop viewing the New Year as some starting point and the end of the year as a finish line. The right time to start is right now and the best time to finish is when we’re done!
